Course Description:
The course, named Signals and Systems, selects deterministic signals and Linear Time Invariant(LTI) system as research objects, mainly introduces and discusses the basic conceptions and basic theories in the continuous time domain and the discrete time domain, including the wave patterns, characteristics and operations of typical signals, the basis characteristics of LTI, the analysis methods in time domain and frequency domain and complex frequency domain and Z domain, the input/output analysis methods and state variable analysis methods of signals and systems and so on. In this course, students will understand and master the Fourier transform, Laplace transform, Z transform and discrete-time system analysis method, and the course will help students to build the relative concepts of the signals and systems with continuous time and discrete time characters. All these knowledge of signals and systems, such as concepts, basis theories and analysis methods, will lay a foundation of analyzing and processing of signals for following courses, such as Automatic control theory, Power electronics and graduation project.
